My journey from a plantmurderer to a loving plantmom

Hey Plantlover,

I've always been in love with plants but sadly I was a terrible plant mom in the beginning. I murdered so many plants because I just saw them as beautiful objects that would fit my room as a decor object.

Trust me if I started to be  aware of the fact that they are breathing individuals and made it my responsibility to know the preferences of each plant it got better immediately.

I want to provide you with all my knowledge to save your time for research. In the following posts you learn everything you need to know about plantcare in general but also about different types or specific plants.

But first, let me tell you something about my plant history...

Once upon time... in 2018 i really started to get upsessed with plants. I bought like 10 different ones from the supermarket thinking they could be a highlight in my room to make its appearance more vivid. I tried out some positions and placed them where I thought they would fit the best. Surprisingly some of them died because I watered them too often or they didn't get enough light. In the following month I struggled a lot with murdering, buying and loosing plants to fungus gnats.

When I moved into my new flat I started to take the plantcare more serious. I bought new pots, new potting soil and some new plants. Things went very well for some weeks but then my university exams knocked on the door and I totally forgot about time and date. I was back to overwatering all my plants and hat to do realize the big loss and the big step back I made.

But I don't wanted to believe that I was not able to care for Plants. I bought a moisture meter and a book about plantcare. From now on no plant is dying in my house anymore. I said to myself. Indeed I am a proud mom of 34 healthy Plants and there will be more moving in.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I hope you learned something new or got inspired. I would love to hear about your plant history and how you're doing so far. Feel free to ask all your questions.
